My Whole Heart

SCACD recently had another mixed media stamps release.  It is the Mixed Media Blank Canvas Collection #2.  There is also an accessory set that was released at the same time.  This image is part of the Follow Your True Heart set.

The tag is an Inksentials Black tag.  I have had these for a while just waiting for the right project.  This was certainly it.

The splatters are created using the Art Anthology Sorbet in Frost and the Crafters Workshop stencil Splats.  I love not only the shimmer but the dimension from the Art Anthology Sorbets.  Tons of fun colors too!

The words are stamped in white ink with a prima tiny alphabet set very similar to THIS one.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 29

OY- Alex is getting a bit creative with these color combinations.  I am not certain that we are going to find something acceptable or appropriate in the next 2 days.  Hope we do, but not holding my breath.
This tag is a combination of several different stamps and then Alex drew in the sidewalk to help ground the little monster.  The boy trick-or-treating reminded Alex of Max from Where the Wild Things Are so it was another of the must have stamps.  Me, I am hoping that he has some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups in that bag.  It is time for a sugar fix.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 27

Happy Day 27!!  Where has this month gone?  I really do not want this month to end.  Not at all.  There is a cage awaiting me.  I might have to start a 'Save Edgar' campaign.  Hmmmmmm

Alex has another tag for us today.  This image is by Inkadinkado and one she had her eye on at a local scrapbooking store for several months.  She held off buying it and held off and held off.  She would look at it and pet it and wish for it when it the store, but put it back on the shelf.  A couple of weeks ago she was at the store with a % off coupon and there was only one of these left on the shelf.  Obviously, home with Alex it came.  I believe it was a wise choice, but don't tell her I said that!

I hope you enjoyed both hops yesterday and were inspired by all the talent.  On to more of the Wicked Bloggers today!

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 23

Hello, come in and please, help settle a debate.  With today's project, a topic came up that Alex and I are debating.  It is with regard to vampires and 'breaking the rules'.  Alex is a firm believer that there are certain vampire 'rules' that are not to be broken.  PERIOD.  Some vary by lore, but there are certain consistencies that must be honored (um NO they can't be in the sunlight even if they do sparkle).  I figure since it is all pretend anyway there are really no rules.  What do you think?
Now, on to the project that started it all.  A vampire skull.  How fabulous!!!  I really like the way Alex used the amazing gorgeous and sexy raven sticker.  She then used the Viva Decor glitter liner in Hematite to fill in the eyes and the blood pool is her Viva Decor Pearl pen in Red.  It really is the BEST for blood she has found.

Alex asked that I also leave you with a picture of one of the sexiest vampires ever (trust me, when she asked my eyes rolled back in my head so far they almost popped out the back side!)

31 Days of Halloween - Day 21

Welcome to day 21.  Only 10 more days until 30 Days of Halloween is over and Halloween is actually here!  I am excited, and a bit sad.  I know that Alex will be locking me up in that cage again.  Thank you all for the compliments on my pink yumminess.  I know I am irresistible regardless, but it is nice to know that now I am super irresistible.  I have a few more looks to try before the end so I guess I better get busy!
This lovely tag is Alex's latest offering for 31 Days.  Not only does she love the scene, but the witch flying through the sky is her favorite part.  I am pretty certain this is an image she will ink up more than once.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 19

Hello all you Horrifying Hoppers!  How are you on this fine Friday?  Me, FABULOUS.  I know you are thrilled to hear it and wondering why.  Well, Alex is slowly returning to her crazy normal self so I can go back to doing all the things I do best and not deal with worry about her.
Today Alex has me sharing a tag she put together using a stamp with a very handsome raven on it.  Personally, I am having a case of hat and tail envy, but will get over it, even if it means I need to go shopping.  I would tell you who this stamp is by, but Alex can't remember (big surprise there, not!) and I am not going to fly over and look at the moment.  Perhaps later and then I will edit this if I do.  The background and image are done using distress inks and a sponge or the Tim Holtz water brush.  I know that Alex has fallen in love with this brush and the way she can control the water amounts.  You are just lucky you don't have to hear the actually swooning, I can just tell you about it.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 17

Welcome all to Day 17.  This might not seem like a very big deal, but it is.  Today is the day that the Bombshell Ms October challenge is set forth and Alex is Ms. October!
The challenge for this month is to Bling up your Bombshell in Halloween color bling, so black, orange, purple and green.  Alex used the Bombshell Sugar Skulls set and stickles.  Lots and lots of stickles.  She is particularly proud of the gold teeth.

Gotta run and take care of the sickie here.  Hoping she is up to speed tomorrow because this being nice thing is a bit difficult and wearing thin.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 16

Hello everyone!  Short and sweet today.  Alex is a bit under the weather and I need to care for her (but don't tell anyone, you'll ruin my bad boy image).  However, I did want to be certain and share this appropriately themed tag with you.

Isn't that image a hoot?  A friend of Alex's found that stamp and knew it was something she would love.  Just fabulous!!!  We can chat more tomorrow!!!

Alex is entering this into the HDH Macabre Monday Challenge #155 - RIP

31 Days of Halloween - Day 13

Oh my goodness, you are not going to believe what I get to share with you today.  Alex is over the moon!!  She found ZOMBIE MERMAID STAMPS.  Yep- for real- CAW CAW!
These three lovely ladies are Stampotique images she purchased from SCACD.  I don't think I have ever seen her ink up stamps as quickly as she did these, and I mean ever! (of course, I am in a cage most of the year)  She gave these gals the perfect zombie touch with sparkling red eyes.  If you click the bottom image you will see a larger version and just might be able to tell a bit better.  I hope you enjoy this tag, I had to pry it out of Alex's hands to share it with you!  She kept mumbling something about 'love it and pet it and call its name George' or something.....crazy lady!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 12

Welcome to day 12!!  What fun today is and you are going to be so happy you stopped by Alex's blog today.  hint, hint, wink, wink, nudge, nudge - caw, caw!

Today I am sharing yet another tag Alex made.  She is really loving this witch set from Inkadinkado and combined an image from it with images from two other Inkadinkado sets.  Wow, look at her use multiple items.

Actually, it is great fun to watch her frantically digging through things searching for what she just knows is in there someplace.  I have to be alert though because it is not uncommon for things to start flying through the air and I have no desire to be taken our by a rubber stamp or spool of ribbon.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 11

Hello, and so thrilled to see you, no really, I am.  Hey, what is that look for? Don't you know that this is the only time Alex lets me out of the cage?  I know, I am locked up like an animal or something!

Alex used one of the images by Stampotique.  She absolutely adores these creepy girls.  They make her cackle giggle.  Seriously, she sits there giggling to herself while working with them.  One day, I am going to call someone about that, but for now, I just let it go.  This image is called Spykee (wonder how they ever came up with that name, pfft).

Now, off to the other Wicked Bloggers creations with you!  I have things to do, like find the image for today's prizes.  Prizes you say? Oh yes, did you not read the rules at Terra's Blog?  GO, do it now!

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 9

Well, well, fancy seeing you here!  Can you believe, day 9 already!  My how time flies, wish I could....

This ballroom scene is created using a stamp form an Inkadinkado set and the chandelier is from a set by the Devil Herself.  Periodically Alex will break down and purchase something because every one's minions need to eat, and they just sometimes hit one out of the part.  This happened to be one of those times in her mind.  Personally, I could have gone for something a bit more...feathery.

I hope you are checking out all the other Wicked Bloggers.  There has been some truly astounding creations.  Things that even made Alex speechless and that is a huge deal! (and may I personally say 'thank you')  The complete list is on the right side of the blog if you would like.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 7

Welcome back!  I hope everyone had a fabulous World Cardmaking Day yesterday.  I know that Alex went out to play.

As they say, when Alex is away the cat will play.....  REALLY!?!??!

Hey, a little help here!!!!!

Not quite certain how I am meant to focus on sharing Alex's creations for 31 Days with Tinker chomping on my new tail!!!

Phew, thank you for calling her off.  Whoever said that perhaps this tail might be too much and entice Tinker, you were right.  Also, flying might be important!!!

Now, onto today's creation.  This is another tag using images from MME and Inkadinkado.  Personally, I love the colors of the night sky.  Alex loves this idea of a girl dressed as a witch for Halloween and looking up to see one in the sky.  Whatever works for her.

Off to try a different look.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 6

Hello this fine, fine day!!!!  Alex has another tag creation to share with you today.  It is different than the last, but I think you will like it.  Unfortunately, there is not a raven on it this time.  I am pretty sure that was just an over-site on Alex's part, because it could not have been intentional.

This tag has a lovely clothesline.  Even better, look who let there clothes to dry!  Bet that she is anxious for them to dry before it is time to go flying around the sky!!  Her familiar must be keeping watch.

Alex and I want to be certain you can see that gorgeous metallic shimmer on the cauldron.  Alex was able to get that by rubbing just a touch of the Craft-T metallic rub on.  The cauldron is made from polymer clay.

Now, onto the important things.  You may have noticed I am sporting another look today.  What do you think?

You can't really tell in the photo -basically Alex's photography skills are mediocre so you get what you get - but there is actually a large about of sparkle with this look.  Is it me?  Is it too formal?  Is there such a thing as too showy?

I think I look quite upper crust in this.  Alex thinks I won't be able to fly.  HMPT  - whatever, as if flying is more important than looking good.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 4

Am I blocking your view?  You want to see more than my gorgeous tail and back?  Are you sure?  I bet you can guess that we are back in 'Tagland'.  All right, all right....

I have to admit that Alex knocked it out of the park with this one, but please don't tell her I said that.  She might get all mushy and it would just totally mess things up.
For this tag Alex used a stamp from the MME Lost & Found Halloween set.  I bet you see more of the images from this set in the future.  The background is created with a variety of inks sponged on.  The witches hat and Raven sticker (poor guy, he got hit by the flying glitter) were added and viola!  complete.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 1

Welcome, welcome, welcome!!!!  Some of you are old (some older than others, caw, caw) friends and some of you are new.  ALL of you are welcome to join Alex and me for the 31 Days of Halloween.  For those of you not 'in the know', let me introduce myself.  I am Edgar Allen Crow and I am your host for the next 31 Days.  Alex gets a bit, well crazy, with all the creating for 31 Days of Halloween, so forces lets me host.  The best part is that she often doesn't even have time to proof read the posts so I can fill you in on what is really happening behind the scenes!

Also, 31 Days of Halloween has many, many participants.  You can find a complete list of them on the right sidebar or you can always visit Terra's Blog for the full details.

It is entirely fitting that Alex is starting the month with a tag.  She makes quite a few of them for this project, but mostly because she has fun making them.  Alex finds herself using stamps she hasn't yet inked up, and creating all sort of fun scenes on the tags.  Then, she keeps them all for herself.  I know, pretty selfish neat isn't it?  There is a lot of sparkle on this tag from multiple colors of Stickles including the design in the witches dress and the fire.

Now, on to the really important things, me.  Perhaps you noticed I am sporting a different....look.

I know you are all going to say that I am so amazingly handsome regardless, but I am in the midst of selecting a new tail wardrobe due to what I now refer to as The Tinker Incident.  Is this too bold?  Does it look real?  I am going to give it a couple of days to see if it grows on me.

I am looking forward to seeing you again tomorrow.  I also hope that you spend some time checking out the creations of the other Wicked Bloggers.  Everyone puts in so much work and is so talented, you will just be amazed and inspired.

Happy Halloween!

Angel

I am so excited that SCACD is carrying some of the Stampotique stamps.  Especially when I saw SCACD had Angel.  This image has been on my wish list for a long time so I grabbed her!  Angels aren't just for Christmas.

Here she is stamped in black Momento on a tag.  I colored her hair, bodice and frill on the skirt the sponge inked the background.  I really wanted her to have an angelic glow around her and think I succeeded.  The finishing touch was a wooden heart from Studio Calico Hearts and Arrows.
