SCACD BRAVE HEARTS and ECLECTIC 2 RUBBER STAMP RELEASE

SCACD celebrates today the 2 recently released NEW exclusive rubber stamp sets.  They are the Brave Hearts (a group of 4 empowered gals) as well as Eclectic Collection 2 (a combo of 6 steampunk and ethereal stamps).  With the Eclectic 2 collection if you buy the entire set you get 4 FREE date stamp words!!  SCACD Artist Carmen Medlin and Susana collaborated on the images and we are so happy to be showcasing them to you now :D

Now available for purchase in the USA HERE for the Brave Hearts and Eclectic 2 sets.

Our International Friends can purchase SCACD rubber stamps at Quixotic Paperie HERE.

SCACD Digital images for USA and International can always be found HERE.

I am excited to share an image from each collection with you today.  First up from the Brave Hearts is Fearless.  I am in love with all 4 of these cuties and their great accompanying sentiments.  The brick background is paper from the Authentique paper pack - Durable.

Next up is the Lotus from The Eclectic Collection 2.  I used the Lotus on my art journal pages and wanted to have it represent new beginnings with the words coming out from the Lotus blooms.  The "created on" in the bottom left is one of the 4 date stamp words that you get free when you purchase the entire set.

For the words, I used the sentiments that come with the Brave Hearts and several from the 2 different Words Sets "SELF" and "AUTHENTIC" that are part of the Mixed Media Blank Canvas Collection.

You should be going next to Roni's BLOG.  I am certain that she has something amazing to share with you.  Be certain you leave her some love when you swing through.  If you get lost along the way, you can find the entire list of participating BLOGs on the Store BLOG site HERE.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 18

Good morning!  Alex is frantic again in the background and so this may be short and sweet.  Sorry.

However, this is an amazing creation today.  This fairy is dancing in the light of the harvest moon.  What a wonderful Halloween activity.

This lovely lady is the fairy Bliss.  She is available from SCACD in red rubber.  The shimmering moths are cut from the Dies by SCACD Uncaged Bird.  Those lovely light bulbs are a red rubber image Party Lights

Check out all the Wicked Bloggers for what they have created.  The links to all their blogs can be found on the right sidebar.

-oh, if you hadn't noticed... apparently Vincent gets weekends off.  CAW!!!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 15

Top O' the Morning to You!!

- did I fool you?  did you think someone else took over?  Caw, caw, caw....

Ok- enough silliness, I can get down to business, you don't have to be so grumpy, hrmph.

Ok- so not entirely without having a bit of fun, really, you thought 100% serious was going to happen?  After two weeks together you should know better than that.  Besides, I look MAHAVELOUS in my new hat DHARLINK.  Caw, caw!

oh- you want to see what Alex created?  Really?  I thought that was just an excuse to visit with me each day.  You really are a spoilsport aren't you?  ok, ok, ok.

This is the amazing Mr. Bones.  He is available in digi format HERE or in red rubber from SCACD and comes in a set with Mrs. Bones or by himself.  But really, why wouldn't you get his Mrs. as well?  I am sure he would be heartbroken (or whatever skeletons break....) without her.  Don't forget that you can get 'their little dog too" in the digital section.  He is HERE.

Since you don't want to play today and are being a gumpipuss, please feel free to move along to all the other Wicked Bloggers from 31 Days of Halloween.  All the links to their blogs can be found on the right sidebar.  Be certain to check at Terra's blog to see if you are a winner from any of the days' prizes so far.  Perhaps that will cheer you up.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 11

Today is a very special day in the 31 Days of Halloween hop.  Today is a day sponsored by SCACD!  CAW! CAW!

Alex was sooooooooo excited to be able to highlight more of the SCACD images for me to share with you.  She has many of them and just loves shopping there.  It was difficult to decide which image to use, but she finally settled on Sugar Floral Skull

SCACD has a great assortment of Sugar Skulls in both digital and red rubber.  Sugar Floral Skull happens to be one you can get in both!!!  The digital is HERE and the red rubber is HERE.  Alex used the red rubber version and the tiny butterfly stamp that accompanies it in the eye sockets.  The background is a patterned paper with lace over it.  The flowers are from the Dies by SCACD collection and part of the Fancy Flowers and Keys Corners.  alex asked me to be sure and  tell you that you NEED (her word) to go see all the Dies by SCACD if you haven't done so before.

As for me-do not tell her I did this or I might end up in a cage prematurely- I think you should go see the Steampunk Skull.  It is pretty rockin'.

http://www.susanascustomartandcarddesign.com/proddetail.php?prod=digicm-156
I also have on good authority that there is a new release Halloween theme digi (caw, caw).

I know you are going to get very distracted shopping at SCACD.  How do I know this?  I have watched it happen to Alex over, and over, and over, and......  However, after you finish, but certain to visit all the Wicked Bloggers, -all of their names and links can be found in the right sidebar- see the amazing creations, leave them some love and look for the hidden image to WIN your prize from today's sponsor, SCACD -details HERE.

31 Days of Halloween - Day 8

Mermaids and creepy and me, OH MY!

Oh, there you are!  Today we are viewing something quite fun.  Alex loves mermaids.  She loves the gorgeous and the fun and all, BUT what she really loves is the lore of the mermaid and the siren and the power they wield.  Not the touchy feely nice mermaid, but the one drawing sailors to their death (yeah, she is twisted....- and do NOT tell her vampires sparkle in the sun, she is quite adamant that they incinerate.)  Today she has just such a mermaid creation that I get to share with you.

This mermaid is from Stampotique and one of three different ones she has images of.  The fabulous skeleton fish in the background are from SCACD (and they also have matching stencils you will probably see used later this month).  The mermaid and background are both colored using Distress Inks.

I hope you are seeing everything ALL the Wicked Bloggers have to offer this month.  I know Alex has loved seeing them and the creativity everyone is sharing.  Leaving a bit of love for them is appreciated as well.

See you tomorrow for some more insight into Alex's twisted mind.

Happy Halloween!

31 Days of Halloween - Day 3

CAW! CAW! - Translation to people.... Happy Friday!!  I know that is a great day to reach here in Alex's house.  Mostly because her first thought that morning is that the next day she does not have to set an alarm.  Waking to an alarm does not the kinder, gentler Alex create.  Just sayin'.

The other great news today is that it is still part of the 31 Days of Halloween so Alex has some more crafty, spooky, creepy, fun goodness to share!  Honestly, today is not really creepy or spooky, but it certainly is fun.

I thought Mrs. Bones looked quite fabulous in her hat, so decided I would give the hat thing a go myself.  What do you think?

Mrs. Bones is available from SCACD in both red rubber and as a digi.  I think Alex should combine Mrs. Bones with the dog Bones and have them go for a walk (at least the dog, and a looooooong walk at that....)

That washi tape at the bottom of the card was a gift to Alex by a dear friend who understands that Alex is a bit crazy and likes to hear her cackle laugh.  I have to admit it is pretty great.

As a reminder, the full list of Wicked Hoppers for 31 Days of Halloween can be found with links and all on the right sidebar of Alex's blog.  There is some amazing talent so I do hope you are checking them all out.

Happy Halloween!

SCACD Digi Day and 31 Days of Halloween - Day 1

Well HELLO there!!!  I am sooooooooooo excited to see you all again.  It has been much, much too long.  For those of you who are newer to Alex's BLOG, my name is Edgar Allen Crow, and I am the host for your 31 Days of Halloween hopping experience.

Even better, for Day 1, I also have the amazing honor of hosting while it is the SCACD Digi Day.  YES a two-for-one right from the beginning.  What else could a bird ask for?

For your viewing pleasure today, Alex has created a less soft and sweet version of the SCACD Digital image Serenity Fairy.

The tree limbs have been replaced by bones, and the flowers by spiders.  The moon was added in the background.
It really is quite fun to watch Alex go all giddy and crazy with this stuff.  She has more fun 'converting' images than anything else.
She also made up this fun card using the SCACD Digital Image, Mr. Bones, and I think it is pretty fun and fabulous, for a dog and all.  She also used one of the Dies by SCACD - Ornate Hinge

So - you all need to know that it has been a long time, and Alex kept me cooped up WAY too long.  When she didn't participate in 31 Days of Halloween last year, I nearly pecked her eyes out.  Literally.  I am so glad to be back among you all.

Now, onto some of the FUN details.  For the SCACD Digi Day, you can find all the participants listed on the SCACD Store Blog - here.  In addition, there are some prizes and goodies, so I suggest you check it out.

For the 31 Days of Halloween, there are a gazillion and a half partcipants this year.  It is awesome!  They are all listed on the side bar of the blog and the details for 31 Days can be found on Terra's Blog (top of the list)

I am really looking forward to the rest of our month together and will see you back here tomorrow!

Happy Halloween,
Edgar

Bliss

Recently SCACD released some new images in red rubber.   One of the releases was a sheet of fairy images titled Zen Beauties and included this lovely image named Bliss.

When shopping last time at SCACD I found this fabulous paper pack Papermania Parisienne Blue.  I was excited to get use and it and colored up Bliss to match. After coloring her up, I used a glitter pen and the wings have a gorgeous shimmer that this picture just does not show.

In addition to the red rubber release, SCACD just released 11 NEW Digital Images.  There are some great ones so be sure you check them out!

SCACD This and That Rubber Stamp New Release Blog Hop

Welcome to another fun showcase of newly released rubber stamps and yes a few new digi from SCACD. You should have come from the Store Blog and if you get lost during the Hop you can always hop back to the Store Blog HERE for the full list.

SCACD is releasing 9 rubber stamps which are collectively called the “This and That Collection.” They each can be purchased now HERE. They were inspired by things going on in Susana's life as well as imagery she loves. SCACD Artist Carmen Medlin and Susana collaborated on the images and Carmen did an amazing job bringing these to life!!! We are featuring 4 Zen Beauties as well as 5 eclectic fun stamps today.  On a happy note if you buy the complete set of 4 Zen Beauties at one time you will get an accompanying accessory maple seed stamp as a bonus stamp.

First up I am sharing with you "FAITH"

I combined FAITH with the background stamp Kelp Forest (which also has a coordinating stencil!!).  I filled in the entire image to create a silhouette rather than the line art- which is also gorgeous as you can see below.

Next up is "HOPE"

Hope is available in red rubber and digi!!
SCACD also decided to offer only 3 of these not only in rubber but in digi as well for my SCACD Digital fans. You can see the 3 newest versions at the top of the Digi area HERE

Now available in the USA are the SCACD July 24 rubber stamp release HERE.  SCACD Digital images for USA and International can always be found HERE.  For our International Friends you can find the new SCACD rubber Stamps at Quixotic Paperie HERE.

Thanks for stopping by!!! You should now be headed off to see the fabulous creation by SUSAN.

Space Drone

I am having so much fund with the SCACD Digital images. The variety is just amazing. No matter what my mood, something works!!! This character is the Space Drone. There is a wonderful collection of alien creatures, flowers and other assorted things to just let your coloring imagination go crazy.

After coloring him up, I decided to turn him into a fun any reason type card.  I know some young boys that will think this guy is just the 'coolest'.  He also comes with a fun sentiment, but I ended up not using it this time.

I am looking forward to coloring him up again, in an entirely different combination of colors. I imagine he will be just as fabulous while entirely different! I love images that let me truly play like this!

Steampunk Siren

One of the recently released SCACD Digital images is this one, Steampunk Siren.  When I first saw the image I was blown away.  The level of detail and creativity drew me in and I had to have it.

I have seen this image colored several different ways and each time I am amazed at how well it works.  I find it to be versatile to any color scheme.  I decided to go more to the warm/fire type colors rather than the cool/ocean colors that were my first inclination and am loving the result.

Have you checked out the variety of images available in the SCACD Digital section. So many choices!

I also know that SCACD has some new products just added to the store.  New colors of the ColorArte Silks, new Gelatos "Steampunk" series and this:

Doesn't that look fun?!?!?

Alice

SCACD has released 15 NEW Digital Images designed by Carmen Medlin for SCACD. There is a bit of something for everyone in this release. Some fantasy, steampunk, wonderland, curiosities and animals to love. You can find just the right image for that creative spark of yours and let your inner artist out to play.

I am so excited to share Alice with you.  When I first saw this image, it took my breath away.  I just love it and all the detail.  When my six year old niece saw it, her first comment was 'that is Alice!".

I think that Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll has a TON of fabulous quotes.  I knew that this image had to be created with in my art journal because I needed to use one of them with it.

For the background I used some spray in then some acrylic paint with the stencil Halftone Borders by Crafters Workshop.  I used colored pencils on the image and then tore it out before adhering it to the page.

I have this great mini card deck and yes, I HAD to get the Queen of Hearts and use her here.  Not certain what will become of the rest of the deck now it is incomplete, but certain I will think of something.
The quote I decided to use is written and outlined in paint pens.  It reads: "I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then. -Lewis Carroll"

I hope you are seeing all the great creations these past few days being showcased by the SCACD Design Team and some Guest Designers.  FIFTEEN NEW IMAGES!  WOW!

SCACD ELEMENTS RUBBER STAMP BLOG HOP!!!
SCACD is releasing four rubber stamps which are collectively called The Elements Collection. They were inspired by nature's four elements. Thoughts of water, wind, fire and earth so powerful in nature captured in these women thru collaboration with SCACD Artist Carmen Medlin.

The SCACD Design Team and some amazing Guest Designers have put together a hop to showcase these stunning images.  I am the first stop on this hop and the complete list of participants can be found on the store blog HERE.

For the hop I got to work with the image EARTH.  Isn't she just amazing?

I stamped the image with Momento Ink and then colored it up with Copics and Prismacolor markers.  After fussing cutting the image, I created the perfect background using the Dies by SCACD Breezy Branches Statement Corner and Dandelion Knoll Statement Corner.

You next stop on the hop is the super talented KIM and her post is HERE.

Now available in the USA are the SCACD April 7th rubber stamp release HERE. SCACD Digital images for USA and International can always be found HERE.

Moments

HELLO!!!!

I have been a bit absent from posting here lately.  I am not sure what happened.  It was January and then suddenly, it is March!  WHAT HAPPENED TO FEBRUARY???  Wow!  Time is just flying.

Based on this realization that life is just moving so fast, I thought that this image, Moments, from The Oddly Sweet Curiosities Set #4 was appropriate. A bit of a reminder to stop and enjoy in the midst of the hustle and bustle.

The image and sentiment come together or, of course, you can get the entire set.  I just love these Oddly Sweet Curiosities -all of them!  They always make me smile and there is an image and sentiment for everyone.

Have an absolutely FABULOUS day!  Be certain to slow down for just a moment and enjoy.

SCACD Digital and Rubber Stamp Hop!

SCACD DIGITAL and RUBBER STAMP HOP!!!

Earlier this month SCACD released the Montage collection of rubber stamps, a total of 26 rubber stamps with a contemporary yet classic look that will make them a fantastic addition to your stamping toolbox for years to come.  They are available now for purchase HERE both in full sheets and as smaller sets.

These five lanterns are all individual stamps, but I strung them together for a back garden decoration :).  I paper pieced them using some gorgeous paper sent to me by a friend in Japan.  I popped a couple up and love the result.

SCACD has also unleashed 12 fun and fresh SCACD Digital images for purchase HERE.

This image is from the SCACD Digital collection.  The background is created using the new rubber stamp Art of Chemistry.  I used white ink on black cardstock to give a chalkboard  look.  It seemed a bit empty and so I added the Dies by SCACD - Alice's Clock corner die cut from mulberry paper.

Now on to your next stop on the hop is a super special guest.  Carmen who is the image artist!  You can find her creation for the hop HERE.

International Customers:
The digital images can be purchased HERE.  The new rubber stamps can be purchased at QUIXOTIC PAPERIE for our International Friends.

If you get lost along the way, the complete hop list can be found on the store blog HERE.

SCACD New Release Hop

Today Susana Loves Stamps is releasing another new round of these unique, fresh and edgy rubber stamps due to the response we got to the premier MechAnimals stamps.  Along with the new MechAnimals there are some fabulous new Far East and floral inspired rubber stamps being released today as well. They can all be found HERE.

The SCACD Design Team along with some friends and guests are doing a hop and I am so excited to be your first stop showcasing these rubber stamps.

First up is Eye on the Prize.

I have to admit that I find preying mantis fascinating.  Always have.  The best was the year I found a whole bunch of baby ones in my flower bed.  They were less than 1/2 inch long and still had all the detail of the adults.  Just amazing.  I have only ever seen them in green or brown in my garden, however, this one appeared at my house in blue!  He looks quite dapper don't you think?  Also a bit wise with the saying that accompanies the image.

After coloring him up I used paper from the new Echo Park Reflections pack.  I also added to it with some white ink and the new Tim Holtz stencil Eye Chart

Next I get to share Zen Skull

I realize that you all know that I looooooooooooove this one.  LOVE!  The chinese lantern is actually and accessory stamp that comes with the skull to use for the eyes, to create a background, whatever you can imagine.  Did I tell you I LOVE this?

After stamping and coloring the image, I cut out the eye and nose sockets and fussy cut the lanterns.  I adhered it to black cardstock and trimmed around the image.  I used background paper found in the Bo Bunny Autumn Song paper pack.  Before I adhered it to the background, I used the branches from the large Baobab Tree that is part of today's release and stamped around the edges.  The sentiment is also stamped directly on the paper.  It says "Remember When".  You get the sentiment when you purchase both skulls released today.  What is the other one you ask?  Well, keep hopping and you will see! :)

You next stop on the hop is a new one and I am super excited about it.  We have a new member of the SCACD Design Team.  She is wonderfully talented and I know she has something amazing to share with you.  Please leave her some love and welcome here to our SCACD world!  Your next stop is:

Alaine - our newest DT member!!!!

SCACD Digital is also releasing a fun little gaggle of digital ghoulies that scream fun and sweetness :)  SCACD Digital images are available now for purchase HERE but watch out for some fun from the design team and friends to showcase the newest digital releases in the near future!

Our International friends can get all the new rubber stamps at Quixotic Paperie HERE :)

Just keep swimming....

This fun Lion Fish image is from the SCACD Digital collection. I know that lion fish are not this color in real life.  However, since I am the one with the markers, I pick the colors and I wanted to give green and blue a try.  Liking it!  :)

The fun bottom of the sea plants are actually the Dies by SCACD Fancy Flowers upside down.  I am super happy with how they turned out. You will see this from me again with a mermaid, or dolphin, or other sea creature I am certain!

Somebodys Watching Me......

The very first time I saw this image in the Carmen Medlin for SCACD Digital section, I giggled.  In fact, every time I look at it I either giggle or crack a smile.  How can something that makes me that happy just to look at it not be a blast to create with?  Well, it is :)

I combined it with paper from the Carta Bella Hello Again collection.  The sentiment comes with the image, called Somebody's Watching Me...  I was going to get all creative and add more embellishments, but in the end decided to just let the image entertain.  Still giggling here....

Have a wonderful long weekend if you are in the US like I am .
