QKD Monday BLOG Hop
Welcome to the Monday edition of the Queen Kat Designs Stamp Co. Blog Hop. If you came here from the QKD blog you are on the right track. If you got here otherwise, you might want to hop back to there so you don't miss anything!
This week we were given a sketch to work with. I decided to turn it sideways and not use a circle. Rebel that I am, LOL!

The Koi Pond is one of the new release stamps for December and I love it. The scenery is such a compliment to the beauty of this mermaid.
Be certain that you stop by the store and see all of the bundle specials that the Queen has put together. There really are some great deals! While you are there, be certain to get signed up for the new monthly club for The Whimsical Ink Society!
The next stop on your hop is Vicki's blog. She always has a very special creation to share. Do not miss it!!!

Wishing Star Angel Blog Hop
Michelle Perkett draws some absolutely AMAZING images. She is so kind and has provided this lovely image for us to be able to do a blog hop. I really wanted to show you a fancy card that complimented this stunning image. However, no matter what I added or colored or moved around, it just started to detract from the beauty of the drawing itself. So, I decided to leave it more plain and just enjoy it.

Michelle also asked each of us to list what OUR Christmas wish is. I have spent a lot of time thinking about this. I have two sons. One is a teenager who is dealing with all the typical teenage things I would love to make all better. The other is Deaf and there are those challenges I would want to spare him from. I also have a sister with some pretty severe health issues. Some she has dealt with her entire life and some are new. My wonderful sister-in-law is in a LOT of pain and has many residual problems from a hit and run car accident by a drunk driver a couple of years ago. There are many, many people I love and care for very deeply that I would like to be able to help.
I was thinking over this again this afternoon and trying to pick what my fondest Christmas wish would be. I was driving to pick up my youngest son from school after spending a couple of hours with some friends making cards for Operation Write Home. At that time it hit me. I am so grateful to have these people in my life, regardless of all the challenges. I am able to spend time with them. My Christmas wish would be that everyone could actually be with their family and/or those they love.

QDK- New Release Blog Hop
This Wednesday is new release day for Queen Kat Designs Stamp Co. One of my favorite days of the month!!! Right now you have the opportunity for a sneak peak at the releases with our Monday Blog Hop.
I am please to introduce you to Evangeline!

Isn't she just the sultry one? I have always wanted one of those couches. To me they just scream old romance movie. She looks pretty good sitting there.
Also new this month is The Koi Pond. I have been playing with this one a LOT and love it. The tail in the Koi design and the oriental feel of this stamp speak to me. Isn't she just so elegant? I love the waterfall in the background.

The next stop on your hop is Vicki's blog. She always has a very special creation to share. Do not miss it!!!

Snowman Soup Gift Box
I am SUPER excited. I actually have some Christmas gifts DONE! I made these adorable snowman soup gift boxes that are from the 20 Days of Gift Giving Holiday Workshop hosted by Shannon.
Additionally, PaperMakeup Stamps challenge for this week was "holiday". How more holiday can it get than a Christmas gift? Isn't this Moody Girl just perfect for a hot chocolate gift pack? (BTW- the Moody Girls are the special this week, get the skinny here.)

Sugar Bowl Challenge #24 & Caardvarks
I am very excited to participate in the Sugar Bowl challenge. Mostly because it means I have some of the AMAZING Sugar Nellie stamps!!! :)
The moment I saw this particular fairy, I knew I had to have her. The sketch for the challenge this week worked very well with this image.
The challenge for Caarvarks is "Color It". I had a wonderful time coloring this image with my Prismacolor markers and Copics. I think coloring is a BLAST!!!
