Just a bit Wicked

I had a FABULOUS time playing with this Wicked stamp from Queen Kat Designs Stamp Co. Love the spider web and spider :). I covered the entire thing with stickles after I stamped and colored it. I had planned to only glitter up the rose, but then it just seemed right to keep going!

I then grabbed a composition book I purchased during the back to school sales. A girl can never have enough notebooks to keep lists in :). This one is altered just for me and I am loving the bats, crows, and skull brad. The ribbon has webs on it and is long enough to also be a bookmark in the notebook.

I am excited to share my notebook with you. I almost started using it before I snapped some pictures!

Don't forget the Queen Kat Designs Stamp Co. Blog Hop going on today with all the fabulous creations and new releases. After wards, stop by the Queen Kat Designs Stamp, Co. store for some goodies AT 30% OFF and to check out the details of the Buy 3 get Tabby FREE offer!

Fairy Knoll challenges are going to mix things up a bit. This week for challenge #13 it is 'Anything Goes'.

I decided to make a Christmas card using Snow Friends - I LOOOOOOOOOOVE this image! For the background I used some of the new Kaisercraft Tis The Season paper. I mounted everything on kraft cardstock and used my Quikutz to make the swirls. The sentiment is actually part of the Kaisercraft paper!

Be certain to enter our challenge of Anything Goes this week for your chance to win a free Fairy Knoll image!

Little Red Riding Hood - twisted

because really, with me would you expect anything less? :)

So, riddle me this Batman....When is Christmas paper not Christmas paper? When you use it on a Halloween card silly!

The background paper is from Memory Box and is called Spiceberry. It is the Christmas/holiday paper this year. I thought it was perfect for this Halloween card. Wonder if the company ever expected that holiday when they designed it?

This is the image you can win for the Stamp It Crazy Challenge #3. Her name is Red Hood and I looooooooooooooove her!! She was actually my pick :) Each of the DT members is getting the opportunity to select an image for you to win and create a challenge with it. THANKS BARB!!! This is my week. So, your challenge this week, should you chose to accept it, is to create a card using a triangle somewhere, ribbon and metal. This message will self destruct in... oops, I am feeling just a bit silly this morning.

For my triangle I used some triangle shaped eyelets I still had in my stash. I am quite proud to say that I believe this is almost the last of them! Wow, using it up!!! The ribbon is that awesome spider web design kind that can only seem to be found at certain time of the year. WHAT are they thinking? The metal is a wonderful spider charm. The fun thing about these charms is the back of the spider is empty so that I can put in a gem or pearl or stickles like I did here.

I hope you play along with us at Stamp It Crazy this week! I can't wait to see what you all come up with.

Don't forget that you can always shop for more wonderful images like this, and others, in both digi and rubber at Stamp It Crazy!

Hayden picking flowers

This is my first love at Sweet Pea Stamps. I originally bought this set. I fell in love with The Gumdrop Gang and especially Hayden. She is sooooooooooo precious! The background for this card is Kaisercraft Tea at Elsie's I made the frame around the image by cutting 1/4 inch strips of matching cardstock and gluing them down. The pearls in the corners and on the edge of the image are also by Kaisercraft.

Right now at the Sweet Pea Stamps blog there is a super fun contest going on. The DT has baby pictures up and your task is to match the 'before' with the 'after'. It is a BLAST and I have tried to do it without peeking. Not certain I did very well and I have at least ONE I know for sure! LOL!! Give it a shot! You just might win a sheet of images!

Challenges I am entering:

A little sparkle for your day

This sweetie is Jewel from Wink Wink Ink. Don't you just love that gorgeous gem? Today, it is a diamond!

Stickles create the sparkle on the diamond. I used Viva Decor glitter liner in holograph to make the gems around the edge. I love this stuff!!!

The flowers are by Petaloo and I used my markers to make them the same color as Jewel. It is so freeing to be able to customize my embellishments, not just hope they are close enough!

Challenges I would like to enter:
Wink Wink Ink - Metal
If the Shoe Fits #44 - Metal
The Pink Elephant #81 - sketch
Magical Monday #3 - Flowers
Stamp & Create #4 - Flowers
Papertake Weekly - 3-2-1 / 3 flowers, 2 brads, 1 patterned paper

TLC- Sneak Peek!

Meet- TLC
This Friday there is a Brand New Release of stamps at Susana's Custom Art and Card Design (SCACD). This is a set drawn by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD. It is ADORABLE! I hope you took advantage of the sneaks by some of the DT yesterday, see the ones today, and peek tomorrow as well. The full list of when/where can be found at Follow Your Heart.

I got to work with TLC- isn't she just sweet caring for her dolly? I love the bandaid on the doll's arm. I decided it would be absolutely perfect to decorate a purse size first-aid kit. I altered a mint tin by covering it with Basic Grey-June Bug collection. Then I stamped with Momento ink, colored with markers and cut out my image to decorate the top.

Right now the tin has bandaids, alcohol wipes, antibiotic creme, and tweezers. I am planning to add some needle and thread as well.

Make SURE you have signed up for the chance to WIN this set. There are FOUR chances to win and the winner will be posted on the 26th at 11:30 pm EST so you can purchase in peace on the 27th!

Boho Chic Tie Dyed

I love to get messy in the creative process. This week I did just that and I couldn't wait to share it with you!

There are some new templates by Crafters Workshop that I really, REALLY like at SCACD. The tie dyed one was a must have! (as was the zebra print one)

First think I did was spray my white cardstock with a couple of different colors of mists. After that dried, which did not take long at all, I placed the cardstock on some scrap paper and taped the template over the top. I then grabbed my white acrylic paint and a sponge and went to town. I am absolutely thrilled with the end result.

After that dried, I trimmed out a piece to use as the background of my card. Of course there was absolutely no doubt which image I HAD to use. Nothing else would work with tie dye nearly as well as Boho Chic from the Sampler Edition 2 drawn by Elisabeth Bell exclusively for SCACD.

After coloring up the image and cutting it out I set it off with some black swirls cut with my nesties. They needed just a touch of 'something' and Viva Decor pearl pen in white was IT.

I also decided that it needed a butterfly. This one is one of the chipboard Maya Road butterflies. I love the variety of designs and the size these come in. I used a sponge to cover the chipboard with the Viva Decor paper pen in white. I then sprinkled it with Dreamweaver Stencils Metallic FX in purple satin. After shaking off the excess and returning that to the jar, I rubbed the butterfly with my finger and this gorgeous pearly finish appeared. After it dried, I backed it with black cardstock to show it off better before adhereing it to the front of the card.

Now it is your turn to go do something with stencils. Don't be afraid to get messy. Just spread some newpaper around before you begin!

Also Aurora's little sister only available with the purchase of the full sheet of the Aurora 2 Collection drawn by Victoria Case exclusively for SCACD. Isn't she the cutest? I just love that cute little ladybug on her hat!! I used Basic Grey Pink Lemonade paper collection for the background and the Prima flower in the corner has one of the super sparkly Dress It Up Valentine Hearts. I LOOOOOOOOOVE these. They are very versatile and you get a couple of different colors in the package.

The Pink Elephant #80- Ribbon and Sparkle

So much to share!!

Today is a busy one! Let's get to it :)

First, it is with a very heavy heart that I share the news that the Friends Having Fun Challenge Blog is coming to an end. Due to some very unforseen circumstances it has been decided that now is just not the right time. I am super sad because the people on the teams I have worked on are just amazing and I will certainly miss working with them.

As a farewell, many of the different team members have gotten together and today we are ALL playing along with the final sketch challenge. I also decided to work in what was going to be the next Pop Challenge as well which is Back To School.

This adorable image is the by Lisa Victoria and is Dragon's First Day of School. I decided to use the primary color scheme that I always find fitting for anything related to the topic of school.

Please make sure to see the rest of the Friends one last time. Thank you again for being a part of Friends Having Fun!!!

On a happier note, the Fairy Knoll challenge blog is doing well and has decided to allow you to play along with the sketch challenge using any image, not just those from Fairy Knoll. Now, that said, I don't know why anyone wouldn't want to use these fab images, but the option is there and perhaps it will allow you to combine more challenges. This week is a great sketch that I promptly turned on the side.

I used Balloon Happiness. Isn't she just perfect for a birthday card? She could be for a lot of occasions, besides birthday though. I am thinking a wonderful Welcome Baby card too! See those awesome white dots on the tabs? Yep- you guessed it, Viva Decor white gloss gel pen. I don't know WHAT I ever did without these pens!! LOVE Viva Decor!!!

Hope you all have an AMAZING Friday!!!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

The challenge at the SCACD blog Follow Your Heart for Try It Out "T"day this week is to use Flowersoft in an 'unusual' way. Now, I don't know how truly unusual this is, but for me to be even thinking about Christmas in August is certainly unusual!

I had this brainstorm and have to admit I like the way it came together. I grabbed Bee Mine from the exclusive to SCACD Aurora 2 collection drawn by Victoria Case . You are probably noticing that the bee from "Bee" Mine is missing. Yep- cut it out! Why? because it just didn't work and that is one of the FABULOUS things about stamped images. You can make changes!! After I stamped the image in Momento ink, I colored in Aurora in more traditional Christmas elf colors and then fussy cut her out, removing the bee image at the same time. I then used Flowersoft in Polar White to create her fur lined color, hat, waist and cuffs. She is ready to make some toys and help deliver some gifts!!!!

The fabulous Christmas background paper is actually from the Pink Paislee 365 Degree collection! However, if you are looking for more traditional holiday papers, Susana has some new ones from Kaisercraft just in and they are GORGEOUS!

The overall card design is from the Mojo Monday sketch # 151.

Be sure to check out all the wonderful creations by the DT and be inspired at Follow Your Heart.

I absolutely HAVE to share this with you. One- because I want to win, LOL and Two- because I find this AMAZING on so many levels! Not the least of which is she kept track!

Amy makes cards. She maks a LOT of cards! She has been keeping track, and last week cut into her 1000th sheet of paper in the process of making cards. Here is a picture of what 1000 sheets looks like! (shhhhhhhhhhh, I know that many of us have taller stacks, don't think about what that means!!!)
To celebrate this milestone event, Amy is giving away blog candy to several people. The prizes include - you guessed it - paper and some fabulous stamps~!

Amy has SEVERAL different prizes to give away and has made certain there are even prizes available for those without blogs. Be certain to congratulate Amy as well as enter to win!!!

Berry Nice!

This is Aurora from the exclusive to SCACD collection and is the image is named Berry Nice. The patterned paper is from the FABULOUS Kaisercraft collection Lilac Avenue. I know that one day I will run out of this paper, but please, let's not talk about that!!! I distressed the edges with my handy dandy pair of scissors. I keep meaning to purchase a distressing tool, but the only time I think about it is when USING my scissors to distress something.

The GORGEOUS bling flowers are Petaloo Dazzlers. I use these a LOT. If you don't, you should and right now they are even on SALE at SCACD!!! I am entering this card in several different FUN challenges.

Challenges:
Flutterby Wednesday #116- butterfly and fav color- purple
ETSY Inspired Challenge #100 - inspired by Hope Pendant (I hope the link works because I am BUYING that after I finish this post, LOL)

QKD - Tuesday BLOG HOP with Victoria

Welcome to the Queen Kat Designs Stamp Co. Blog Hop. You should have arrived from my other creation at the Dark Ink Sorority Blog. If not, thank you so much for stopping by my blog on your own! If you would like to see the entire hop it begins at the Queen Kat Designs Royal Blog.

This week we are challenged to use the sketch that you can see on the Queen Kat Designs Royal Blog at the beginning. With Halloween on the way, I decided to pull out Victoria Mermaid Stamp by Maigan Lynn. She has a bit of sass and touch of mystery. One of my very favorite Maigan Lynn stamps. So much one of my favorites, that I actually have the ORIGINAL of her that Maigan drew. I know, I am sooooooooooooooo lucky!!! If you don't have the Victoria Mermaid Stamp, be certain you stop by the store after the hop and grab her!

Anyway, after stamping Victoria and coloring her, I paired her with Basic Grey Oliver paper that a sweet friend gave me. Thank you Lynn! I used Viva Decor Pearl Pen in black to create the pearls down the side and tied a ribbon on the side of the image.

I have also entered in some challenges with Victoria!:
The Burtonesque Dolls #14 - Burtonesque girls victorian style
Macabre Monday #51 - Netherworld Nymphs
Basic Grey #26- Pearls plus Basic Grey

Your next stop on the hop is Anita's BLOG. Check it out, and leave her some love!

Aurora- A Ladybug is Love

For the Try It Out "T"day on Follow Your Heart we were challenged to use the colors pink, blue & green. Easy peasy! Love it!

I used one of the brand new Aurora 2 collection stamps-A Ladybug is Love. This set is designed by Victoria Case and is exclusive to SCACD. I have to tell you, one of my favorite things about Aurora is the butterfly that is always hovering around/with her. FABULOUS!

Anyway, back to my card:

After stamping Aurora in Momento ink, I went to my stash of paper to decide what I was going to use that worked with the color challenge. I found this fabulous piece with the flowers and hearts on it in addition to the matching pink grunge piece as part of the Basic Grey Sugar Rush collection. I then proceeded to color Aurora with my markers to match the patterned paper.

I felt she needed a bit of bling and gloss. I grabbed my Peridot Viva Decor Glitter Liner and blinged up her hat, shoes and of course the bow in the girl ladybug's hair. Isn't that a fabulous sparkle? And it doesn't rub off!!! Not loose glitter in my card storage or the envelope when I mail it! I then used the Diamond Glaze on her eyes, the shell at her waist, and the ladybug shells.

Once she was colored and decorated the assembly began. I used a sketch from another challenge as my inspiration point. I punched the flowers from the same Basic Grey pink pp as I used to mat the image. I inked the edges of everything and pulled out my Prima Jewels for the center of the flower. I think it gave just the right finishing touch!

I hope you enjoy my card! I would LOVE to see your creations with Aurora!! Be sure to link me!

Challenges:
Follow Your Heart - colors-pink, green & blue
Tuesday Morning Sketches - sketch #53
Pile It On #30- butterflies, bugs & bees!

I created this for the Friends Having Fun color challenge #5 this week. The colors are "sunset, sea & palm". Ready for a vacation yet?

The background paper is from Basic Grey, and the ribbons are assorted ones from my stash. The image is stamped in Momento ink and colored with my markers. I added a few highlights with my Ranger White Inkssentials pen.
